How to prepare a custom art brief

Bring together room measurements, colour references and practical requirements for a clear conversation about a commissioned artwork.

How to prepare a custom art brief

Describe the space and how you want it to feel

Take a straight-on photograph of the wall and one wider image showing nearby furniture. Describe whether you want a quiet focal point, a strong contrast or a connection to colours already in the room. These observations are more useful than asking only for something luxurious or modern.

Gather measurements and visual references

Measure the usable wall width and height, the furniture beneath it, and any nearby switches or fixtures. Choose a few Huner works that illustrate the colours or shapes you respond to. References communicate preferences; they are not a promise of a replica or a particular finished result.

State your budget and timing

Share a budget range in PKR and any target date at the start. Ask Huner to confirm whether the request is feasible, how the proposal will be approved, what revisions are included, and when payment would be due. Do not assume a lead time until it is agreed.

Agree the scope before work begins

Confirm dimensions, medium, surface, framing, price, delivery and the approval process in writing. Ask what happens if the brief changes. The commission form prepares your request for WhatsApp; submitting a brief is the start of the conversation, not an accepted commission.
