What to ask before buying a painting
A practical checklist for checking a painting’s identity, condition, dimensions, framing and purchase terms before payment.

Which exact artwork will I receive?
Ask for the title or reference number, artist name, and whether the work is an original, an edition or a made-to-order piece. Request photographs of the exact work being offered. A room image alone does not establish those details.
What are the materials and outer dimensions?
Confirm the medium and painting surface, width, height and depth. Ask whether the quoted dimensions include the frame. For a large work, measure the route through doors, stairs and lifts as well as the final wall.
Can I see the surface and edges?
Request a straight-on image, a close-up of the surface, and photographs of the edges, back and frame. Ask about visible marks, repairs or other condition details. Huner’s current catalogue includes interior and artwork images; request any additional photographs you need before committing.
What does the quoted price include?
Ask for the artwork price in PKR and a separate confirmation of framing, packing, delivery and any installation charge. Confirm the payment method, amount due, expected timing and applicable return or damage-handling terms in writing before paying.
Does adding to the cart reserve a painting?
No. Huner’s cart holds your selection on your device and prepares a WhatsApp enquiry. It does not reserve inventory, take payment or confirm an order. Huner confirms availability and the final total directly with you.
